Believing that university-industry collaboration is essential for the development of the forestry products sector and the increase of innovative products in Turkey, Yıldız Entegre has signed a protocol with Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (BAİBÜ) and Bartın University (BARÜ).
The protocol, signed by BAİBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alişarlı, BARÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, and Yıldız Entegre's Deputy General Manager responsible for Marketing and R&D, Melike Alkan, focuses on the more effective and efficient production of adhesives used in board manufacturing, as well as efforts to reduce usage amounts.
Under the protocol, faculty members from the Forestry Department of BAİBÜ Mudurnu Süreyya Astarcı Vocational School and the Forest Industrial Engineering Department of BARÜ Faculty of Forestry will conduct various studies over two years to develop a more environmentally friendly product formulation.
Melike Alkan stated, “The studies to be conducted will add value to the sector.” Yıldız Entegre's Deputy General Manager, Melike Alkan, emphasized that as one of the largest producers in the forestry products sector, they have a wide product portfolio that combines R&D and production power. She mentioned their commitment to developing and providing innovative products that enhance people's lives with comfort and functionality while contributing to sustainability. She believes that university-industry collaboration will advance them and their sector into the future, and expressed confidence that the work carried out under this protocol will add value to their industry. She thanked the management of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University and Bartın University for their interest and collaboration with the company.

Rector Prof. Dr. Alişarlı stated at the protocol signing ceremony, “I hope this protocol, which is signed in line with our mission to combine the theoretical knowledge of our university with the practical knowledge of industry and contribute to the development of our country, will be beneficial for everyone.” Rector Prof. Dr. Uzun added, “We are advancing our research and development efforts through university-industry collaboration. I believe that the work carried out under this signed protocol will also provide valuable contributions to the institutions we are collaborating with in academic and scientific terms.”
The protocol signing ceremony held at the Yıldız Entegre Headquarters was attended by Yıldız Entegre Board Member Hasan Yıldız, Kartepe Factory Manager Ahmet Akpınar, Quality and R&D Manager Kenan Çağrı Nevruz, as well as faculty members from both universities.
